Dora Thigpen, MPA

As someone raised in the Marlboro Projects located in Brooklyn, New York. I understand the complexities young people face because I’ve lived them. I witnessed the strength it takes to raise children under pressure—lessons I carry with me in every role I’ve held. With many years of experience in public service, education, and youth advocacy, I bring a deep commitment to supporting and guiding young people. My background as a Probation Officer and Sociology Adjunct Professor has shaped my approach to mentorship—centered on empathy, accountability, and empowerment. My journey—from the community to law Enforcement to the classroom—has prepared me to connect, listen, and guide. I’m here to be someone both youth and parents can trust.
